How much does it cost to book a shoot?
How far in advance should I plan?

For a current list of rates, please email us to receive our digital brochure. While we usually book about two months in advance, if you need your photos sooner, please do not hesitate to contact us to check for earlier availability.

What does it mean that I get a theme/set?

Depending on the Experience™ you book, you can get up to four themes/sets. For each theme or set you will receive professional hairstyling and makeup and get to pose in one set of your choice with one outfit of your choice. With each theme/set we change the backdrop, props and you will change your outfit, hairstyle and makeup. For example, if you schedule an Experience™ with two themes/sets, we will change everything so you have two totally different sets of photos.

Can I choose my own themes for the photos?

Yes, all of our pin-ups are fully customized! We believe each client should have photos that are customized to their interests, hobbies or those of that special someone who is receiving the photos as a gift.

Why do most people pose as pin-ups?

There are a ton of great reasons! To see some of them, take a look at the Why Be a Pin-up? tab in the About section.

I am not a model and am shy about posing in front of
the camera. Do you think that I can be a pin-up?

Of course you can be a pin-up! We built this business to accommodate everyday gals – about 90% of our clients have never stepped in a professional photo studio before. Years of experience being a photojournalist and a studio photographer have taught Celeste how to make her clients more relaxed and comfortable. We will not only help you look like a pin-up, but also feel like a pin-up! Celeste will be there every step of the way to help you pose!

If you take my photo, do I have to appear on the website?

No. The women featured on the website are mostly clients and we always allow our clients the option to protect their privacy and not be featured online. While Celeste Giuliano Photography retains the copyright to the work and reserves the right to use them for promotional purposes only, you will have the opportunity before your session to decline us to use your image.

I am a curvy woman.
Will your wardrobe accommodate me?

Our wardrobe ranges from a size 0 to a size 2x. If you would need something larger or could not find something in our wardrobe that you would like to wear then, I can suggest some websites or stores where you can purchase outfits for the session. Together we can put together the perfect wardrobe for you.

I am a middle-aged woman. Can I pose as a pin-up?

Of course, pin-ups are for every woman – they are about the everyday gal! Our clients range in age from 18 to the oldest being in her 70′s. I have also had many clients choose to pose in a 30s/40s styled black and white Hollywood glamour portrait … think satin, fur, dramatic lighting as in many of the vintage photos featuring Veronica Lake, Marilyn Monroe, Greta Garbo and every golden age Hollywood Star.

There are areas of my figure I want to hide
or not feature. Is this possible?

While posing, you can show as much or as little of your body as you feel comfortable doing. Plus, we are always careful to pose you in the most figure flattering ways.

What exactly is included in the wardrobe you provide?
Do I need to bring garters, shoes etc?

We provide the outfits, bras, garters, stockings/thigh highs, jewelry, shoes and fake eyelashes. In most cases, all you will need to bring is the proper underwear for your outfits. We have a very large and extensive wardrobe (ranging from a size 0 to 2x) that includes everything from dresses, skirts and tops to lingerie, swimsuits, and costumes. Should you decide to wear something that we do not have in our wardrobe or in your size, I can suggest online retailers or stores where you can purchase the outfit.

Do I have to choose from your wardrobe
or can I bring my own?

You can choose from our wardrobe or, if you have a collection of vintage clothes or an outfit that you’d prefer to wear then, you are more then welcome to do so. We can even mix and match our wardrobe with yours!

Do I wear fake eyelashes for the photos?

Of course, no pin-up is complete without her lashes! We provide the false lashes for you and my Makeup Artist will match your eye shape with the perfect style and length lashes.

How long is the consultation and what does it entail?

Consultations are scheduled once you have booked and made a non-refundable deposit to hold your session date. Single set sessions (Girl Next Door and Pin-up Parties) include a phone/email consultation, while all other sessions are done in-person at my studio. In-person consults are only held on weeknights. If you are from out of town or your schedule is too demanding to make it to the studio for a consultation, we can schedule a phone consultation. The phone consults work just as well; and I will have several outfits picked out for you to try on the day of your session based on your themes.

Can I bring someone with me to the
consultation or to my photo shoot?

You are more than welcome to bring someone with you for the consultation but they will not be able to come the day of your photo shoot. We keep all of our photo sessions to clients only since we find it is easier for clients to pose when they do not have an audience. If you have a special circumstance and need someone to accompany you the day of your shoot, that is not a problem, please just discuss the arrangements with me ahead of time. With the exception of my Lovebirds Experience™, no males are allowed in the studio. Also, children are not allowed in the studio.

How do I go about purchasing a gift certificate?

Please contact us to purchase a gift certificate. We require the session price in full before mailing out the gift certificate. After receiving the gift certificate, the recipient can contact us at their convenience to schedule a date for both the photo session and consultation. Gift certificates are good for 8 months from issue date and are non-refundable.

Can I pose with my pet for pinup photos?

Yes, you can pose with your pet for your photos. This is part of our Deluxarama™ upgrade feature and cannot be used in conjunction with The Girl Next Door Experience™ or Group/ Special days. Please be aware of this when booking. You will also need to bring someone to act as the the animal handler to walk/ mind your pet while you are in hair and makeup. All pets must be kept on a leash or in a carrier when not being photographed. There are lots of wires, lights and photo equipment throughout the studio so, we ask that you only bring trained, well-behaved pets in for portraits. Should your pet break any equipment you will be liable for the damages.

What other types of photography do you offer?

Our studio is available for both private and commercial commissioned photo shoots. While we specialize in vintage photography, we also shoot a variety of promotional, editorial/fashion, web and catalog photography. If you have an idea, please contact us to discuss pricing.

What does the day entail?

Our team prides ourselves in not only providing you and your party with professional work, but also a fun and relaxing day of pampering. During the day, everyone will get professional hair and makeup as well as their own photo shoot in a theme/set of their choice. At the end of the day, we can also take group photos of all the party dressed as pinups. We also have a full kitchen in the studio, so feel free to bring some food and drinks.

How many people are required to book the Pin-up Party?

The minimum number of girls required to book this package is 3 and the maximum number is 6.

How long does the Pin-up Party last?

The length of time for your Pin-up Party will depend in the amount of girls participating. For 3-4 girls you will be at the studio for about 4-6 hours total. For larger groups of 5 or more, you could be at the studio for 6-8 hours.

What type of deposit is required and what is your
cancellation policy for Pin-up Parties?

A non-refundable retainer fee of 50% of the session cost is due to book a date. Each girl participating can send her own retainer fee via check, M.O. or Paypal or one person can send the full deposit. The retainer fee for the Pin-up Parties is non-refundable and non-transferrable. Please check everyone’s schedules carefully before booking. You can read the full cancellation policy under the “Policies” tab above.

How do the consults work for the Pinup Parties?

Each client receives an individual consultation which can be done via the phone/email.

Can we bring food/drink to the studio?

Yes, you are more than welcome to bring food/drinks. I have a full kitchen in the studio with a large refrigerator for you to use. If you bring alcohol with you, we ask that you do not bring an excessive amount. One or two drinks to loosen up for the photos is fine but we still want everyone to be steady on their feet and looking good for the photos.

If we have a large group, do we all need to arrive at the
studio at the same time the day of the session?

We encourage our parties to come together the morning of the session. Although, we do understand if that is not possible. Before the shoot date, we can email a schedule for the day with each client receiving a specific time to be at the studio, if needed. We just ask that if any members of your party plan to arrive separately, that they make sure they are in the studio by their designated time. This allows us to make sure everyone has enough time to enjoy the full experience.

How often is the Girl Next Door Experience™
offered and how do I book it?

The Girl Next Door Experience™ allows girls to come in for one fully customized pin-up or retro glamour theme/set. These are mostly offered as Specials that are advertised via The Pin-up Newsletter, but some dates might become available throughout the normal booking schedule. Please contact us for availability.

Are there other clients in the studio during the
Girl Next Door Experience™ or a special group days?

We will shoot in an area of the studio that is separate from the hair and makeup so, no one is in the actual shooting space with us while you are in set and posing. There may be one or two other women getting hair and makeup done but they are separated from the photo set. All other Experiences™ are completely private.

Can I pick my own time slot if I book
on a special group day?

Time slots are designated after all of the consultations for that specific date are held. Since we allow everyone to pick their own theme, we try to schedule clients based on their set choice as this makes the day run smoothly. During Special Days, times slots are usually between 10am – 4pm. If you have a time preference, we will try our best to accommodate you.

Can I have a proof of every photo you take?

Hundreds of unedited and un-retouched/airbrushed images can be overwhelming for a clients to view. With each theme/set, tons of photos will be taken to ensure we get those perfect shots. During the editing process, we will eliminate the photos that have no value (i.e: your eyes were closed, not a good facial expression etc.) Therefore, the proofs that you receive are the best of the best and makes your job of sorting through and choosing photos much easier.

How long does it take to receive the proofs?
And, how do I receive them?

After your session, it takes about two weeks to receive your proofs. You view your proofs online through a personal, password protected gallery. The proofs are available online for eight months. Clients are encouraged to come back and order more prints and specialty items even after they have placed their first initial order.

How long does it take to receive my prints?
Can I place a rush on my order?

Post production begins after you place your order. The process includes professional airbrushing and image quality control to make sure you receive the very best prints. This high caliber work is time consuming so, your prints will ship via USPS about 3 weeks after you place your order. During the Holidays and Valentine’s Day, print orders may take up to 4 weeks to ship. Your prints ship discreetly in an unmarked package. Rush services require an additional fee and are subject to scheduling restraints.

What is involved in the airbrushing
and retouching of my photos?

One of the most overlooked and important stages of the process is in the post-production and editing of final images. With over 10 years of experience and using the finest post-production equipment and software, you can expect the best from Celeste Giuliano Photography. We do not run the images through a smoothing filter, but airbrush and retouch each one by hand. This allows us to personally make sure each photo you order is perfect. We will smooth skin, remove wrinkles, scars, stretch marks and other skin imperfections. We will not airbrush you into oblivion and make you unrecognizable; we still want to see you in these photos. Also, because of the lengthy process, only ordered images will receive the post production treatment. If you have anything specific you would like retouched after viewing your proofs, please bring this to our attention when placing your order.

Cancellation Policy

A non-refundable retainer fee (50% of the Experience cost) is needed to schedule a shoot date. The retainer fee can be made by mailing a check or M.O. or via Paypal. The balance is due at the time of the session.

Pin-up Girl, Centerfold, Calendar Girl or Lovebird Experiences™ that need to be rescheduled, require at least 14 days notice prior to your session date. If you give the 14 days notice, then you can apply your retainer fee to another date. You will only be able to reschedule one time within 6 months. Failure to give 14 days notice or failure to show up for your session will require you to pay another retainer fee in order to reschedule.

Girl Next Door Experiences™, Pin-up Parties and Special sessions are unable to be rescheduled and retainer fees are non-transferrable. The retainer fee reserves your appointment time in the studio with the photographer and your hair and makeup artist. It is very important that you keep your appointment. Please carefully check your schedule prior to booking.

Privacy Policy

Your photos will not be reproduced without your permission. The women featured on my website are mostly clients. While I retain the copyright to all my work and reserve the right to use them to promote my business, I always allow my clients the option to protect their privacy and not be featured online. Only a fraction of my clients photos are used online for various reasons. At the time of your session you will sign a portrait contract that protects both you, me and your photos.
